Bad News For Susan Rice: HIC Just Sent Witness Invitation List For Russia Probe

Democrats wanted answers, and Republicans are speeding up the process to force their hand.

On Thursday, the House Intelligence Committee sent out witness invitations to several individuals to jumpstart their investigation into whether or not Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

Texas Rep. Mike Conaway and California Rep. Adam Schiff issued a statement announcing their next move following a closed-door classified meeting with FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers.

"We are currently sending out invitations for witnesses to testify and requests for pertinent documents," the lawmakers said.

While several former Trump campaign members have offered to testify, Democrats seem to be stalling as they are running out of time to prove they have evidence of collusion with the Russians during the election.

The House Intelligence Committee is also investigating whether or not the Obama administration played a role in illegally "unmasking" classified information about Trump advisers associated with the campaign.

As I wrote in an article for BizPac Review, the tables have shifted dramatically since Trump claimed in February that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower. Trump's claims went from baseless and unfounded to truthful and particularly accurate over the course of a few months.

It was reported on Wednesday that Rice refused an invitation to testify before the Senate Judiciary subcommittee. The committee sought to give Rice the opportunity to discuss what she knew in relation to Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and to further elaborate on whether or not she had any role in the "unmasking" of American citizens, particularly any associated with the Trump campaign.

Rice declined the opportunity to refute Trump's claims, and that is very telling. She can expect a subpoena in the mail very soon.
